1-click financing idea

Duck9_logo_one_click_med Ok, so here's my latest brainstorm... helping 13-18 year olds get into debt early by buying things that they can't afford.

Hahahaa, just kidding.  Actually, this allows auction buyers to finance purchases directly from the seller.  This way the seller can make money on the sale of goods AND on the financing.

Does this match anything that you're needing?!  Do you have any feedback for me... Thanks in advance for your having read this.

0 to Financial Literacy in 8 Minutes

0 to Financial Literacy in 8 Minutes

Financial literacy month encourages proactive credit card education.

April 12, 2005- Palo Alto CA- In observance of Financial Literacy Month, United College Marketing Services is promoting the use of free resources to help young adults with understanding credit's influence, avoiding interest and leveraging loopholes inherent in the credit system.

According to Larry Chiang, founder of United College Marketing Services, "Proactive credit education is most critical when it comes to avoiding credit problems". He continues by stating, "We applaud efforts to step away from reactive credit counseling that often times is too far down the river of credit woes".

"Add credit card debt along with tuition loans and living expenses pushes many students to added stress", says Robert McGrath, University Health Services director of Counseling and Consultation at
University of Wisconsin. It’s not unusual to find college counselors helping students deal with their debts.

“In general, we get a broad assessment of all the things that are not working in a person’s life,” said McGrath. He said counseling would address both the emotional and the psychological aspects of overspending. “We would talk about the importance of control and how to best make sound financial decisions. Generally, people have made impulsive purchases,” he observed.

Having one or more credit cards has become the norm for American adults, and while in the past credit cards were used only for very large purchases, they are now used for just about anything. Chiang said anyone with a credit card should remember credit is not “free money.”

“The trick is to use credit wisely — obviously pay your bill on time (hopefully two or three times the monthly minimum), don’t spend more than you can pay off within three months and turn that credit card into a financial tool" Chiang emphasized. "Financial literacy month for United College Marketing Services means an opportunity to get on the soapbox to promote financial tool aspects of credit cards. Simple measures done monthly can boost your FICO credit score,” he said. "Lower interest charges result when a credit score is boosted."

Some radical strategies have been presented such as abstinence in relation to credit cards. Along these lines, there's even an offer for "credit card condoms" at CreditCard.org (http://www.creditcard.org/freerecorders.htm)

CreditHealthy.com instituted the free “Come, Grow, Go” credit program that focuses on young adults’ credit. Visitors can fax (877-369-5577) in their credit reports and get recommendations to boost their FICO credit score. Larry Chiang introduced the concept by saying, “Come to the website, grow in your learning, go out and leverage your better score”.

United College Marketing Services (www.UCMS.com) is number one in marketing to college students at credit card sponsored credit strategies seminars. It leads the credit industry in proactive credit education and has educated over 25,000,000. It funds Internet resources such as CreditHealthy.com and CreditCard.org.

www.CreditHealthy.com, provides cutting edge tips, strategies, techniques and ideas to college students at seminars and also on the web. Its focus is on helping people’s credit issues proactively. It is also the first to offer free fax credit counseling.

Students Leverage FTC Credit Report Policy

Students boost FICO credit scores using FTC policy coupled with CreditHealthy.com's free counseling. “College Credit Card, Credit Healthy Month” kicks into its second week to support financial literacy.

Palo Alto, CA.  Residents in 12 Midwestern states' colleges just became eligible to for a little publicized (almost secret) website, www.annualcreditreport.com, that gives $24 of credit reports for FREE.  “When used properly these free reports can be parlayed into significant monthly savings from lower cost loans,” according to Larry Chiang, founder of United College Marketing Services.

CreditHealthy.com instituted the “Come, Grow, Go” credit program that focuses on young adults’ credit.  Visitors can fax (877-369-5577) in their credit reports and get recommendations to boost their FICO credit score. Larry Chiang introduced the concept by saying, “Come to the website, grow in your learning, go out and leverage your better score”.

“To support College Credit Card Credit Healthy Month, CreditHealthy.com will fund the new program free for college students until spring of 2007,” said Larry Chiang.  “We are supporting college students effort to turn their credit card into a financial tool,” said Chiang.  He added, “College students are graduating with FICO scores in the high 700s which opens up doors to lower cost car loans, discount car lease programs, reduced apartment fees and the waiving of utility security deposits”.

Secrets shared can lead to a 50 point jump.  “Your credit score be bumped as high as 50 points if you remove something as simple as one incorrect credit reporting agency entry,” said Chiang and added, “This can be leveraged into a cost savings of up to $1200 on your next loan”.

According to, CNN, “personal finance remains a fringe topic”.  “We see CreditHealthy.com as a way for the spectrum of college students to phase shift in credit understanding and sophistication,” proclaimed Chiang.  CreditHealthy.com shows that better FICO scores means lower cost loans.

In the consumers’ best interest?!  Ordered by Congress to give consumers free access to their own credit reports once a year, the nation's three largest credit bureaus are turning that requirement into a marketing opportunity. “CreditHealthy.com is bucking the establishment and doing what’s best for the consumer.  Sure we could make $10, $15, $20 on each consumer the way that the big three credit reporting agencies do… but we are not about squeezing college students for a profit,” said Chiang.

On the Internet, many firms offer so called ‘Free Reports’.  Most come with an obligation to buy, submit personal information, sign up for a service that you need to cancel, or something similarly unsavory.  CreditHealthy.com provides something truly free.

The Federal Trade Commission mandated free credit reports for 12 Midwestern states beginning March 1.  "The free credit report policy is supposed to give consumers an incentive to check their credit reports regularly for errors or signs of ID theft.," said Beth Givens, director of the Privacy Rights Clearinghouse, a nonprofit consumer advocacy group. She added, “The law is not to be an incentive for the bureaus to market their products”.

CreditHealthy.com, provides cutting edge tips, strategies, techniques and ideas to college students at seminars and also on the web.  Its focus is on helping people’s credit issues proactively.  It is also the first to offer free fax credit counseling.

March is College Credit Card, Credit Healthy Month

In observance of National College Credit Card Credit Healthy Month, colleges are focusing on credit card issues on campus.  According to John Simpson, administrator at Indiana University, "We lose more students to credit card debt than academic failure."  In honor of the month, universities across the nation will host credit strategy seminars at no charge to college students.

Alan Greenspan, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, said in support of the month , “Financial literacy programs provide much needed education for America’s youth.”  On campus credit card educational programs battle the credit cards pitfalls college students face –financial literacy transcripts available for free download at www.credithealthy.com.    Larry Chiang, a college credit card industry stalwart, pointed towards the trend of colleges banning credit card tabling.  He states, “Right now about 65% of four year colleges curtail the practice of credit card tabling”.  Chiang is famous / notorious for starting America’s largest credit card marketing company, United College Marketing Services in 1989 which he exited in 1996.  Recently, he invested in www.creditcard.org, a site that helps consumers seek out credit card issues.

According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, 45% of theft on campus occurs because of credit card debt pressures.  College Credit Card Credit Healthy Month has support ranging from national to local legislators, coupled with college administrators  alongside student government associations.  Together with industry titans, College Credit Card Credit Healthy Month highlights the proper use of credit cards:
